This week’s recommendations are more left-field than usual, and acting on both may require some effort, even expense, on your part, dear readers, but in my humble opinion both are worth it. Both are films, but neither are recent, one of them is extraordinarily long and high-brow (yes, it IS French), while the other one is an indie true crime affair that seems to be completely unknown - every time I’ve mentioned it, I’ve been met with a quizzical look.
